lazy Friday

I am one lucky pup. Today I get to be lazy, because it's Friday. Don't you love sitting in the sun and yawning? I do. I feel like being so lazy and... WAIT, there's the mailman! I need to go fuss him for not brining my latest PQ (Puppy Quarterly) magazine ........

BARK! BARK!!! BARK!!

Im 40!

it is my 40th post! I think that has to be a record for a Doxie posting on the internet. I should get a prize!!! Where's my owner with a treat when you need her? Anyways. Today I am doing a little of this and a little of that so make sure you check back with me from time to time because I AM BACK!!!

Just like Michael Jordan, except for my comeback will be better than before!!! I hope to show you some of my new dance moves on video. So let's hope I can steal.. I mean borrow the camera when my owner goes to lunch! ;) hee hee...

Who is cuter? Me or me??

I have adjusted quite nicely into my new home. It is a bigger house than I am used to, but I wanted to make sure that my owners felt comfortable in my house, so I made sure they bought one big enough for the three of us. I still am getting used to the layout. I am sleeping through the night, but sometimes I get confused where I am when I wake up from my puppy naps.

Lately, I have to admit, I have been in a grumpy mood. I don't know if it is growing pains or what, but my owners have been on my bad side. Lately
I had to put my paw down a few times because they have been so busy putting the house together that they forget to spend quality time with me. When I say quality time I mean... belly rubbing time!

I am writing this blog so that they may understand how much they are forgetting how cute I am. When it comes to cuteness I am only in competition with myself, but let me tell you that is some stiff competition. Yes, I may barely win this one. But please don't forget how cute I am. Wouldn't you rub my belly as much as possible if you had me?

learning to drift...

I am trying to get used to our wood floors. I am so used to running on carpet so this has definitely been a transition. I have to watch myself because if I am running full speed and try to stop, I am going to crash into a wall.

This has not been fun. I had to learn to slow down, but thats no fun at all. Then I learned something new!

The other day I was watching some movie about car racing with my owner. He's into these kind of movies, I kinda just tolerate them. Anyways, I was watching these cars as they were flying around tight corners. They did this really cool thing called "drifting". I don't know if you've ever seen it, but it is really interesting.

I thought to myself, "What if I apply these same principles around the house?" Anyways, I learned that if I keep my back legs churning as I fly around the corner I can get just enough traction to make the turn. Boy is it fun! Now I can chase after all the chew toys without crashing into walls. (well most of the time)

You should see me run, its like a whole new Pancho--drift style!

Shadow Barking

I still haven't become used to the new home. I still smell all these weird smells and am seeing so many new things!!! I am so glad I got my internet back up so I can bark to you about it all!

I have been very busy helping unpack the boxes and I make sure to chew everything I pull out to make it easier to store. We have so many boxes piled around everywhere, it really makes it hard for a dog to have a good line of sight through the house. Lately my owner's have been popping out from behind boxes and scaring me. I can't help it if I yelp at them. I just can't see over all these boxes?!?!

The other night I was just so tired that I was barking at shadows in the street. See we have some big trees in our yard and sometimes when its almost dark I mistake these shadows for booger bears. I can't help it I am a highly trained watch dog... Well I am not highly trained... Im not really a watch dog either. I just like to bark at everything.Don't you?

Anyways it is nice to FINALLY be in our house. I have my bed all settled, now its time for my owners to get their boxes emptied and throw them away. It's a good thing I let them use my closet space for their silly stuff. Ha! Bark at you later!
